We are seeking to appoint to the following post with effect from 19th February 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter:
Afternoon Receptionist
Full time equivalent of £17,700 per annum (pro rata £9,625)
23.25 hours per week, mainly during term time plus 8 full days and 8 half days during the holidays. Some early evening hours will also be required during busy periods towards the start of each term.
You will be an excellent communicator with a warm and approachable disposition and enjoy working with a wide variety of people, in particular young adults. Ideally you will have relevant experience of working in a busy reception area or other customer service environment. Hills Road Sixth Form College operates on an attractive site just over a mile south of the centre of the historic city of Cambridge. The site has been occupied since 1903, when it was originally home to the Cambridge and County School for Boys. Since its inception in 1974, succeeding the former boys’ grammar school, the College has concentrated mainly on providing Advanced level courses to students in the Cambridge area.
Having responded to strong and sustained demand for places over a number of years, we now have 2,950 full-time 16-19 students for whom we provide a choice of 36 A level subjects plus the Extended Project Qualification, an extensive programme of enrichment and extra-curricular activities and responsive individual support and guidance. The breadth, depth and challenge of this curriculum are at the heart of our long-standing educational vision, and Hills Road Sixth Form College continues to enjoy a national reputation for excellence, including, in our last two Ofsted inspections, being rated outstanding in all graded areas.
