Heckmondwike Primary Academy are looking to appoint a receptionist, to join our academy in April 2025 on a part time, permanent basis.

Your new role

As the receptionist, you will be the first point of contact with the academy/school for all parents/carers and visitors, both by telephone and in person, and need to ensure information flows are accurate and effective.

Heckmondwike Primary School is a larger than average primary school situated in Heckmondwike, an old industrial town in the heart of the West Riding of Yorkshire. The school was created in 1995 by the amalgamation of Heckmondwike Junior School and Battye Street Infant and Nursery School and serves a culturally diverse population, which is reflected within the school’s own community.

 

The catchment area of the school contains a variety of housing, e.g private, housing association and rented properties. This broad spectrum of social and economic backgrounds is reflected on the school roll (currently 446 children) plus 52 nursery places.
