Receptionist

37 hours per week, Term-time + 4 weeks

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly effective Receptionist who will provide a warm welcome to all visitors to Edgar Wood Academy. The successful candidate will be based in the main office and will provide reception and some general administrative support to the school under the direction of the Headteacher’s PA.

You must have the ability to remain calm under pressure, be organised and have a flexible approach, with the ability to manage your own workload. You will be an ambassador for the school, responsible for welcoming visitors and will act as first point of contact over the telephone and face to face. 

This is an exciting time to join Edgar Wood Academy as we are a new and expanding school with a current intake of 300 students (180 in Year 7 and 120 in Year 8), with a further 180 starting in September 2023. We have also recently moved into a modern, state-of-the-art building offering stunning views of the countryside, coupled with a convenient access to several motorway links.
