Critchill School caters for pupils aged 4 - 19 years with severe and complex learning difficulties.

We are currently recruiting for a Part Time Receptionist to join our friendly Admin Team and support the smooth running of the school.  If you enjoy working in a busy environment and have the ability to work well within a team, we would love to hear from you.

We are seeking someone with excellent communication skills, as you will be the first point of contact for visitors and will undertake an important role in our professional team.   A flexible and positive attitude is essential, together with excellent organisation and time management skills.  You will need to be able to prioritise effectively to manage a demanding and changeable workload, which is a regular feature of our busy school office.

In addition to receptionist duties, you will be responsible for maintaining the school attendance system, administering school meals, producing parent newsletters and other general administrative duties.     Previous receptionist experience is essential, preferably in a school environment and knowledge of SIMS would be advantageous, although training will be given.

There is a possibility that we can offer a Level 2 Certificate Course via distance learning in either  Business Admin or Customer Service.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for the role.

Critchill School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including Gaps in Employment checks, contacting past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
