Grade 4 £21,968 - £25,409 per annum (£18,209 to £21,061 pro rata to hours and weeks worked) 35.5 hours per week, working Monday-Wednesday (8.30am – 4pm) Thursday (8.30am 4.30pm) Friday (8.30am – 3.30pm) Term time only plus Teacher Training days.

We are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to work as part of our friendly and hardworking team in Year 5 and Year 6. This role involves leading small group and one to one intervention sessions to enable our children to flourish and achieve the outcomes they deserve by the time they leave primary school. You will also cover teaching for two afternoon PPA sessions and work collaboratively with our Learning mentor on our pastoral and Safeguarding Team ensuring our Upper KS2 children’s well-being needs are met. Our support staff team is absolutely integral to our school vision to ensure that all children achieve their full potential in all aspects of school life.

Our successful candidate will be a motivated professional who will inspire and enthuse our children and support them in making good progress in their learning and social/emotional development.

We are looking for someone who:

·           Has experience of working with children within Upper Key Stage Two

·           Has a desire to further develop their skills

·           Has excellent literacy and numeracy skills

·           Can support leaders in providing high quality childcare and education

·           Can take responsibility for a group of key children and take responsibility for observing, planning, tracking and evaluating their learning and development and setting individual targets

·           Can work collaboratively with leaders and staff to ensure safeguarding and well-being needs are met enabling children to thrive

·           Will work in respectful partnership with parents/carers when supporting children in their learning and development

·           Has a sound knowledge of behaviour management and SEND

·           Is approachable and resilient
