Academies Enterprise Trust is a network of 67 primary, special and secondary academies working across four geographical regions: East London & South East, Midlands, North and South & West. This is a unique opportunity for outstanding educational leaders to make a significant contribution to the success of our academies.

Regional Directors of Education

These roles are pivotal in supporting our principals/headteachers to lead our academies to ensure every academy is rated as 'Good' or 'Outstanding' and make a genuine impact on the future of children and young people.

The Role

  • Working closely with the Group Chief Executive and part of the Executive Team, you will be responsible for school improvement and long-term sustainability.
  • You will contribute significantly to the Trust's education strategy which transforms the lives of thousands of young people.
  • You will lead and inspire our principals/ headteachers to deliver innovative education across our academies.
  • You will represent us at a regional level, whilst developing strong partnerships with external stakeholders such as the Department for Education, Ofsted, local government and local members of parliament.

About you:

  • Have the ability to contribute to the Group beyond your core area of expertise, viewing challenges through the broad lens of a senior leader rather than the narrow focus of an education specialist.
  • Pro-active, forward looking and willing to constantly challenge you will bring the inspirational skills required to further develop capability to raise achievement across your group of academies.
  • You will have a resolute focus on quality and a clear vision of what outstanding education looks like.
