Job overview

We are looking for a Regional Partnerships and Marketing Manager to lead regional and local activity through the Harris Institute of Teaching and Leadership (HIoT&L) within the East, South and London (E,S&L) region.

This is an exciting opportunity for candidates to raise standards for young people, and who wish to utilise their skills and expertise in partnerships, recruitment, marketing, and communications.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Your role will include working with existing partners to solidify relationships, maximise partnerships for success of programmes and programme recruitment, identifying new opportunities and partners in line with the region's needs, and managing regional communications.

You will work with the Harris Federation Teaching School Hubs to support management of a pipeline of high-potential recruits to the NIoT's golden thread programmes, with a focus on Initial Teacher Education and including ECF, NPQs and Harris Federation CPD. You will work closely with the Teaching School Hub Directors and our ITT Lead Provider to ensure the development of relationships with local schools, trusts, ITT providers, local authorities, and wider community partners to ensure effective system level recruitment and engagement.

You will also hold close relationships with our Administration, Marketing, Communications and Events functions to ensure that we promote our programmes effectively.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You will need to be highly organised and solution orientated, helping us to run the complex process of participant recruitment whilst leading school and provider partnerships as efficiently as possible. We would like to hear from you if you have:

  • A commitment to the aims of the Harris Institute of Teaching and Leadership, Harris Teaching School Hubs and the National Institute of Teaching
  • Understanding of the regional and national education landscape, with the ability to apply this in your context to gain trust and credibility
  • Confidence and skill in using and analysing data, and an understanding of the sector, to inform and shape the regional recruitment approach for the region
  • The ability to maintain relationships, influence and negotiate at a strategic level.
  • Excellent customer service skills, putting our stakeholders at the heart of our decision making, resulting in greater customer loyalty and retention and a strong reputation in the marketplace.
  • Strong oral and written presentational skills, and the ability to present complex information clearly and succinctly to a range of audiences
  • A commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion
  • The ability to develop and deliver a comprehensive and detailed regional marketing campaign to recruit participants for ITE, NPQ and ECF, with a focus on areas of disadvantage
  • The skills to build collaborative and consultative relationships with a range of internal stakeholders, and working to align varied, often competing, interests
  • A drive to meet challenging targets and work collaboratively with a national team

The Harris Federation is a not-for-profit educational charity with almost 25 years of education experience in and around London. Our primary, secondary, all-through and sixth form academies have an international reputation for delivering a step change in education standards.

In joining a Harris Academy, you will be working with some of the country’s most exceptional teachers, support staff and leaders. There are frequent opportunities for internal exchange and promotion; our CPD is regularly described as Outstanding; and we have a package of staff benefits that rivals the most competitive of other professions.

Each Harris Academy is led and run by its senior leaders and has its own curriculum and way of doing things. What our Academies share, however, is a commitment to giving their children and teenagers an excellent education within a happy, caring and supportive environment.

There are Harris Academies in many different settings – inner city and suburban – but they are all within a maximum ninety minute commute from each other. This enables a highly collaborative structure, with on-call support from the Harris Federation.
