Job overview

Flexible location, within commuting distance of our North and West campus in Blackburn

The National Institute of Teaching (NIoT) has an unswerving commitment to high quality, evidence-informed teacher education, and is on a mission to improve the quality of teacher and leader development across the system.

The Regional Recruitment Manager is responsible for managing a pipeline of high-potential recruits to the NIoT’s golden thread programmes, including ITT, ECF and NPQs: individuals who are excited about using the best research and practice insights to drive their development and increase impact on children. The successful candidate will also work closely with the region’s Partnership Manager to ensure the development of relationships with local schools, trusts and local authorities to ensure system level recruitment.

The Regional Recruitment Manager is a critical member of our North and West regional team and will work closely with our central recruitment team and the recruitment teams in our Associate Colleges. The successful candidate will report directly to the Regional Principal in the North and West and have a dotted reporting line to the central Director of Recruitment.

They ensure that applicants have a seamless, positive and inclusive experience that minimises attrition and reflects the NIoT’s ethos. The successful candidate will also hold close relationships with our Marketing and Communications function to ensure that we promote our programmes effectively.

As well as a dynamic doer, the Regional Recruitment Manager will be highly organised and solution orientated, helping us to run the complex process of participant recruitment as efficiently as possible.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing regional team and contribute to the success of a new National Institute.

Closing date: 5.00pm on 12th December 2022

Learning That Changes Lives

A teacher’s expertise makes a greater difference to a pupil’s success than any other factor in a school. The National Institute of Teaching exists to nurture the talents of teachers and leaders at every step of their career, whatever the context, wherever they are in the country.

About the National Institute of Teaching

The National Institute of Teaching (NIoT) is run by the School-Led Development Trust, a charity, founded by four of the country’s leading school trusts: the Harris Federation, Outwood Grange Academies Trust, Oasis Community Learning and Star Academies, and supported by the Department for Education.

The Institute will boost the quality of teacher and leader development nationally by generating and interpreting research, applying the insights to the design and delivery of high-quality teacher and school leader development programmes, and sharing it all with the sector.

We are building a school-led movement, strengthening relationships and collaboration across the system.
