St Eugene College is a Catholic co-educational Prep-12 school located in Burpengary. In 2023, the college will have approximately 1450 students and a staff of approximately 150. We are seeking a relief Administration Officer who can work across a busy student services area or front reception with the ability to assist with enrolments when staff members are on leave.  

Duties include:
•    Telephone and email management,
•    Administration of filing and online management systems (eMinerva),
•    Assisting School Leadership with various administration tasks,
•    Assisting with organisation of school events and activities, and 
•    First aid duties (First Aid Certificate required)

The successful applicant will have:
•    Prior office administration experiences, or 
•    experience working in a school environment,
•    Sound Microsoft Office skills,
•    Proven communication and interpersonal skills, and 
•    Demonstrate the ability to multi-task. 

It would be advantageous, but not essential, that the successful applicant would have a good knowledge of the student data base, eMinerva, however, training is provided also.

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.

Position tenure:  Casual

Weeks worked:  School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)

Tenure duration (where Fixed Term)

Total Paid Hours (per week) & days required: This is a casual position as relief for staff members when absent. Hours - 7.6 hours per day.

Salary level, range or hourly rate: School Officer Level 4 - $33.52 per hour

Employment conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement
