St Mary's College - Ipswich is seeking a staff member to provide casual relief when required during periods of absences and extra workloads.

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required:   Maintenance Staff - Relief The College Maintenance Staff - Relief is a casual position to relieve or assist current full time maintenance staff during periods of absences and extra workloads. The employee is accountable to the College Principal and will report directly to their Line Manager, the Business Manager. As a member of the St Mary’s College staff, the employee in this position is required to ensure the Catholic Ethos and Mercy Traditions of the College are maintained and enhanced through their employment. Qualifications: The employee needs to have satisfactorily attained the appropriate level of training in general maintenance. Characteristics: The employee in this role needs to understand and apply quality control techniques. He needs to exercise good interpersonal and communication skills and perform work without constant supervision either individually, or in a team environment. The employee will be required to perform non-trade work incidental to their work. Conditions: The successful applicant will require a Blue Card for Child Related Employment Working Hours: 7am to 3pm Monday to Friday (including half hour lunch break) or as required with a minimum period of 3 hours. Salary: Level 1 BCE Services Staff Casual Workers Salary Scale Assigned Tasks Assist with daily cleaning of outside campus areas including emptying bins as required Assist maintenance staff when required in maintaining lawns and gardens Assist maintenance staff when required in setting up Assembly Hall for College events Assist maintenance staff with various tasks requested by College staff Assist maintenance staff in other tasks as required

Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate:   Service Staff - Level 1

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019


This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
