Surval Montreux is a unique international girls’ boarding school in Switzerland which presents an imaginative vision of education for girls aged 12-19. The successful candidate will have proven boarding experience, be an excellent communicator, approachable and with a proven ability to interact in a sensitive and caring manner. She will also have excellent organization and management skills; be fluent in French and English; and hold a clean driving license.
We are seeking to appoint a Senior Housemistress who has the experience and enthusiasm to play a leading role in supporting the Boarding life of our vibrant and flourishing school. This is a new role, created at an exciting time of the school’s development. Full board and accommodation is provided.

Surval Montreux is a unique international girls’ boarding school in Switzerland which provides an exceptional all-round education for girls aged 12-19. The school offers a High School programme for Grades 8-12, alongside a unique Swiss Gap programme for 17-19 year olds, Winter Camp experiences and a Summer Camp June to August. The curriculum is based on the American High School Program, taught alongside Advanced Placements or IGCSEs, AS and A2 levels. We also offer an innovative Swiss Gap year programme for post-secondary school study which includes an intensive French language programme.

Classes are small at Surval, typically around 10 students or smaller. As a small school, subject practitioners must be self-sufficient in their subject specialism, able to build their own resources, and to administer the curriculum and assessments efficiently. Flexibility is valued and expected.
