ACS International Schools is currently seeking Resident Sports Graduate Assistants to join our team at our Cobham Campus.

The purpose of this role is to provide support across the Sport & PE Department, including delivery of coaching sessions and the fixtures programme.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • PE/Sports graduate with a keen interest and passion for a variety of sports
  • Has performed in sport to a high level
  • Qualified to coach at least one of our Tier 1 sports (basketball, football, swimming, track & field, tennis and volleyball)
  • Experience of coaching young people
  • An energetic and enthusiastic approach
  • First aid trained or willing to undertake training
  • Active participant in sport/fitness activities.
  • Clear and accurate written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with a range of people fairly and with respect.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team
  • Good planning and organisational skills with the proven ability to use own initiative.
  • A flexible attitude and an adaptable, self-motivated approach
  • An understanding of the importance of developing appropriate working relationships with young people, with the ability to define boundaries

This is a one year fixed term contract with the possibility of extending to two years for applicants who have excelled in their first year and wishing to pursue the possibility of a PGCE/Teaching career.

Please note that accommodation and full board is included on-site at our Boarding house in Cobham, as part of this position.

ACS Cobham International School is a mixed, mainstream, all-through school with sixth form, for students aged 2-18. This independent school is located in Cobham, Surrey, and has approximately 1300 students enrolled.

ACS Cobham International School was founded in 1975 and is one of four ACS schools in England and Qatar. Boarding was added in 1988 and the school generally caters for expatriate families who have relocated to the UK.
