Fry Hall/ Cover Supervisor

Wymondham College seeks to recruit an enthusiastic, outgoing individual, preferably a recent graduate or person with equivalent experience, to the post of Residential Fellow, to work in the College’s boarding houses and provide support to our academic departments.

We are looking for candidates interested in working in a pastoral care environment within the boarding houses, but also with an interest in teaching or education generally, who are able to add value to our academic departments.

The College invites applicants from any academic discipline, but we are particularly interested in applicants who would suit a secondary role as a Cover Supervisor (ideal for those considering a career in teaching).  We offer full training and supervision for the successful applicant.

The College was judged as ‘Outstanding’ in our last Ofsted education and Boarding inspections and based on our GCSE results; we were the highest achieving state school in East Anglia at GCSE in Summer 2015 and were awarded the World Class Schools Quality Mark in October 2015.

Please note this role will be re-branded for September 2018 and there is potential for the role to continue after 31 August 2018.

Wymondham College is a unique state day and boarding school offering an educational experience unlike any other. Our students come from a wide range of backgrounds in the UK and overseas and achieve outstanding academic success.

But to us, education isn't just about grades; it's about creativity, it's about sport, it's about friendship, it's about new opportunities, it's about fun. Above all, it's about Life.

Wymondham College exists to enable young people to become happy, successful and useful citizens, to aim for excellence in all they do and to find fulfilment in life.

The College aims to provide the best state education in England within an inclusive and caring boarding community to which all are proud to belong. We expect students to work hard, to maintain high standards of personal presentation and behaviour and to demonstrate respect for others within the College, in the local community and further afield. We encourage students to match their academic attainment with personal integrity, physical fitness, aesthetic sensitivity, emotional maturity and an open approach to spirituality based on broadly Christian values.

We are committed to working with other schools and organisations for mutual benefit and to promote the achievement and welfare of children generally. We strive to adopt best practice in consulting members of staff and in promoting their interests as employees. We use resources prudently and efficiently to further the aims of the College, whilst meeting our responsibilities to minimise the environmental impact of our activities. We welcome the involvement of parents and carers in the education of students.

Above all, Wymondham College seeks to be a place where wisdom may flourish.
