Job overview

Vision for Education are currently recruiting for people with a Residential Support Worker background to work in special educational needs school settings in Greater Manchester. The hours are between 8:30am and 3:30pm Mon-Fri. The positions are to start ASAP and can be either full or part-time dependant on your preferences. 


The role

As a Residential Support Worker you must be comfortable working with young people between ages 5 and 19 years old who have both learning and physical difficulties. You will be required to work closely with individual students under the guidance of the class teacher, helping them to achieve their daily learning goals. 


The school

The schools cater for pupils with barriers to learning and challenging behaviour. The Residential Support Worker role aims to provide the very best support for the students, to assist them to achieve the best outcomes they possibly can.


Requirements

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for the Residential Support Worker position are: 

• Have a minimum of 6 weeks relevant experience

• Have an understanding and positive personality, with a strong ability to us your initiative

• Be available to work between the hours specified above
