Are you a fun, enthusiastic person who wants to make a difference to young lives?

If so, we may have the role/career for you as a Residential Support Worker at Cedar House School.

Being an Outstanding (Ofsted rated) residential provision for a number of years, we can and have demonstrated our passion to build relationships with pupils; putting their wellbeing at the forefront of everything we do.

This will be a great opportunity for somebody with, or without experience who wants to work in an established, committed and forward-thinking team. Within the role you will develop positive relationships with pupils and give them warmth, care, compassion and provide those life-affirming experiences that make all the difference.

We actively encourage people who have innovative ideas and the character to continue with our outstanding journey and contribute to the wider Cedar House School community.

At times, our residents’ behaviour can be challenging, so your ability to remain calm and to see past the behaviour with resilience and humour is fundamental. You should also be ready to work towards a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England) (if you don’t have this or an equivalent already). In the meantime, we’ll give you outstanding induction and on-going training to help you do your best. In return you’ll need to be happy to work flexible hours, including some sleep-in duties and to have a full UK driving licence.
