Brunswick Park Primary School needs a Lead SEND Teacher and Manager to teach and lead learning for our Resource Based pupils and those with complex needs.

Consistently good teaching is key to success, and we are looking for an excellent teacher who will impact positively on our children’s learning and well-being. If you are motivated by inspiring and nurturing young learners and want to take the next step in your career, we would love to hear from you.

Brunswick Park Primary School has Specialist Resource Provision for children with autism from Reception to Year 6, where the school’s SRP is named on their EHCP. Whilst these children’s SEND are complex, the purpose of the SRP is to meet need within a mainstream setting, integrating pupils where possible and appropriate. We need a lead teacher for the Resource Provision who will lead and manage it and its staff team, that comprises an additional SEND Teacher and a group of skilled and dedicated support staff.

To be successful in this role you need to:

  • Have deep and extensive knowledge and understanding of inclusive practice;
  • Have a track record of raising achievement effectively from pupils’ starting points;
  • Have well-developed knowledge of the curriculum, including phonics and reading, and proven skill in adaptive teaching;
  • Demonstrate initiative and lead positively to inspire, enthuse and motivate others;
  • Be a warm, engaging, effective communicator who will develop strong relationships with children, parents and the wider community;
  • Be pro-active, aspirational and committed to career development.

We offer:

  • A vibrant, friendly, positive and enthusiastic learning community where everyone’s successes are celebrated;
  • An inclusive, values-based ethos committed to nurturing and developing the potential of every child;
  • A supportive and stimulating environment where children are well behaved and keen to learn;
  • A committed, motivated and reflective staff team including HLTAs, a Specialist Accredited Practitioner, a learning mentor and an ELSA to promote children’s emotional well-being;
  • A strong desire for continued improvement and further development;
  • Excellent professional and career development opportunities including gaining qualifications in Middle and Senior Leadership.
