Lilian Baylis Technology School is a mixed, 11-18, inner city school located in a new building at Vauxhall, London. We are a multicultural community school, which serves the local community, and we view this as one of our key strengths. We value the diversity of our school, and strive to ensure that our students feel represented, at whole school level and within the curriculum.
We are a truly inclusive school and consider ourselves to be Exceptional in our provision for students with Special Educational Needs. We currently run a Resource Base for students with ASD, in addition to our mainstream provision. From September 2026 we will also run a Resource Base provision for KS3 students with SEMH, which is based at a local Primary school.
We have outstanding facilities and the Resource Base is a recently refurbished and bespoke provision, including a Sensory Room, Sensory Circuit space and excellent IT facilities to support assistive technology. Staff in our Learning Support team also work closely with our Educational Psychologist, SALT and OT, so that they are supported in delivery of the best possible curriculum and pedagogical approaches.
We are looking for a Resource Base Lead who will lead role in managing and delivering pastoral & specialist SEN support to students within the ASD & SEMH Resource Base. This includes the supervision of students, delivery of programmes of work, liaison with families and external agencies, managing behaviour and the line management of Learning Mentors within the Resource Base.
This is an exciting opportunity for a someone who has experience of working with students with SEN either in an educational or pastoral role, particularly for those with experience in working with students with SEMH needs We offer a highly supportive and committed working environment within a culture of success.
