Unity City Academy is a successful and growing provider of 11 to 16 education in the east end of Middlesbrough. The Academy has recently achieved an Ofsted “Good” rating in all categories and has over 900 students on roll, 64% of whom are pupil premium. We are looking to appoint a dedicated, proactive Restart Keyworker to provide support in addressing the needs of pupils who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning. You will prepare students to be successfully reintegrated back into mainstream lessons.

The successful candidate will have:

• 3 years experience of working to support children with additional needs
• An NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistant (or recognised equivalent qualification)
• GCSE Maths and English at a good standard
• Excellent numeracy / literacy skills
