We are looking for a well-qualified and passionate Robotics and Coding teacher to join our school.

To ensure that we are able to continue the successful development in the future and to teach robotics and STEM courses as well as to establish a competitive robotics program at our school, we are looking for a well-qualified and passionate Robotics and Coding teacher.


Key responsibilities and duties of the position include:

  • Teaching introductory courses in Robotics
  • Guiding students through the process of designing, building , and programming robots
  • Teaching students using the provided lesson plan for robotics/coding
  • Providing technical support for robotics and coding equipment
  • Staying updated on the latest trends and developments in the field of robotics and coding
  • Mentoring students in robotics clubs or teams, providing guidance on projects and competitions
  • As this is a developing program, until the program is fully developed, the person in this position may be asked to do other tasks in the school. These could include substitution (coverage) for absent teachers, leading clubs/activities, proctoring exams, student supervision on campus, etc.

Ideal Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in education, engineering, computer science, robotics, or a related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field
  • 1+ years of teaching experience in robotics or related subject or experience coaching in a robotics team environment
  • Programming Languages: Familiarity with programming languages commonly used in robotics, such as Python, Java, C++, or block-based coding platforms like Scratch.
  • Robotics Platforms: Experience with robotics kits and platforms like LEGO Mindstorms, VEX Robotics, Arduino, or Raspberry Pi.
  • CAD and Design Tools: Knowledge of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
  • Native English speaker or native English fluency is required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team

About ISF International School Frankfurt Rhein-Main

OUR SCHOOL

The ISF International School Frankfurt Rhein-Main – founded by the City of Frankfurt, the State of Hesse, and multi-national corporations in September 1995 – offers world-class education from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12/13. We are an independent, co-educational, whole-day school situated in the heart of the Rhein-Main region of Germany offering non-sectarian, English language instruction.

Approximately 100 teachers and 50 administrative staff, the majority of whom are from the U.S., the U.K., and Germany, work at ISF.  The school’s German, French, Spanish, Korean, and Japanese teachers are all native speakers. Some teachers have been working at the school since it first opened in 1995.

OUR CAMPUS

Besides complete academic facilities, the campus has exceptional outdoor and indoor sports facilities including a grass football pitch, complete track and field facilities, two tennis courts, a semi-Olympic indoor swimming pool and gymnasium. The two-story Library and a beautiful 400-seat theater complete this fine ISF campus.

OUR SCHOOL YEAR

The school year runs from the end of August through to the end of June. The 3 terms are between 12 and 13 weeks in length. The working week is Monday to Friday and the school day is 8:00am to 4:10pm. There are many after-school activities that are led by students, staff, parents, and outside instructors. During the school year, there are approximately 6 weeks of vacation: one week in October, two weeks for Christmas/New Year’s, one winter week in February and two weeks for Spring Break. There are also the occasional German public holidays. In total there are 180 school teaching days as well as two weeks of staff training and orientation before the start of the school year.

OUR CURRICULUM

ISF offers a rigorous college- and life-preparatory curriculum.  All students at ISF learn German, and a third language is taken by students starting in Grade 6. Students who complete their secondary education at ISF have the following options of diplomas and/or external exams:

  • ISF High School Diploma, which is awarded upon the satisfactory completion of the graduation requirements
  • British International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), which is taken by students at the end of Grade 10 or Grade 11
  • The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, exams for which are taken by students at the end of Grade 12 or 13. ISF has been an IB World School since August 2007.
  • American Advanced Placement (AP): Individual exams, which are typically taken at the end of Grade 12 or the AP Capstone Diploma, which is completed by students at the end of Grade 12
