London East Alternative Provision (LEAP) is a successful, high-achieving alternative provision located in Tower Hamlets, which incorporates the Royal London Hospital School in Whitechapel.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Lead Teacher at the Royal London Hospital School, who can secure the delivery of outstanding teaching and learning and ensure excellent outcomes for all students at the hospital school.

Applicants will hold QTS and can be subject specialist for any subject, preferably English or Maths, including primary trained teachers with an ability and interest to teach secondary aged children. We are looking to deliver a therapeutic curriculum to the children who are longer or short term patients at the Royal London Hospital.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the oversight of the curriculum, managing the day to day running of the provision, as well as liaising with the medical teams of the Royal London Hospital to ensure the medical care of pupils as well as their safeguarding and mental wellbeing. The Hospital Team Lead will also manage an assigned team of teachers and support staff.

In addition, the Hospital Lead will be expected to teach students across all key stages and support them with their learning during their time at the hospital.

This is a full-time post, and includes a SEN allowance of £2,384 and a TLR 1b.
