Job overview

We are a multi-site Alternative Provision for children and young people with complex needs and we provide a vital service to the families and schools of Hounslow.  We are proud of our service and we need inspirational, patient trailblazers who believe that every child matters and who will never give up on our amazing pupils.

We can offer a varied professional experience, thanks to our many diverse sites – no two days are the same.  We can also offer outstanding professional development and opportunities to work alongside outstanding people in the field of SEND.

Due to the expansion of WPES, we are seeking to appoint Safeguarding and Vulnerable Learners Leader to lead all our staff on all matters relating to safeguarding and child protection. We would very much welcome applications from existing Social Workers or candidates with direct social care experience; however, this is not essential. What is more important is a thorough and detailed knowledge and understanding of current national legislation, statutory and non-statutory guidance on keeping children safe and the skills to translate this is into highly effective cross-service practice on the ground.

Candidates will be talented, dynamic and inspirational and will challenge and motivate our students to get the very best meaningful outcomes.  

One year contract in the first instance.  36 hours per week.  39 weeks per year plus 2 weeks to be worked during school holidays, so 41 weeks in total
