Job overview

We are currently looking to recruit an Associate, Safeguarding who will act as the Deputy Lead for Safeguarding and will support our safeguarding agenda, with particular emphasis on LFC Foundation and LFC Women.

 

ROLE:

Within your role your main areas of responsibility will include:

  • Working as part of the Safeguarding team to lead the delivery across the Club of the safeguarding strategy, vision and values.
  • Supporting the Director, Safeguarding in developing/amending, regularly reviewing and implementing the Club's Safeguarding policies/procedures and ways of working.
  • To take responsibility for the safeguarding training. Including working closely with external training providers to plan, implement and monitor the safeguarding training programmes, whilst also writing and delivering bespoke safeguarding training.
  • Maintaining accurate safeguarding records on the Club's Central Management System - My Concern, ensuring that any ongoing issues are managed effectively, and the system is kept up to date. Monitoring and analysing the data from the Club's Central Management System, producing regular reports and using the data from these reports to make any recommendations
  • To be Designated Safeguarding Lead for LFC Women and LFC Foundation.
  • Overseeing all safeguarding aspects of the player care and welfare education programmes for Liverpool FC Women.
  • To work with and support the Designated Safeguarding Leads for other parts of the club's operation.
  • Supporting with the investigation of cases as required. Assisting the Director, Safeguarding in preparation for club representation at multi agency meetings.
  • Work closely with external agencies, including Premier League, FA, the Football league, and other professional clubs and organisations as required.

 

PERSON:

The ideal candidate for this role will hold a degree qualification in a relevant field, previous experience working within a safeguarding role where you had significant responsibility for the safeguarding agenda for young people and vulnerable adults. Within previous safeguarding roles that you have held you will have experience of dealing with sensitive cases and working with parents of young people or vulnerable adults. You will have an excellent track record of working with external stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes, and up to date knowledge of safeguarding best practice, and research and in-depth knowledge of legislative framework for safeguarding. In addition to this you will have excellent communication skills in a variety of formats for a variety of audiences, strong interpersonal skills, IT skills, high attention to detail, excellent planning and organisational skills to effectively manage and deliver a diverse workload. You will bring with you to this role a highly motivated approach with a positive solution focussed attitude.

 

TEAM:

You will be part of our Safeguarding team and work with designated areas of the business and the designated safeguarding officers within these areas to promote our safeguarding agenda and strategy.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

This position is full time and involves working 35 hours per week and is based in our Chapel Street offices but will involve regular travel to our other sites.
