Salary: POD grade points 44 to 48, FTE £52,929 to £57,102; Pro-rata £50,738.84 to £54,755.34
Working Days: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week, 42 weeks per year (39 weeks term time + 3 weeks)

Vanguard Learning Trust is keen to recruit a safeguarding lead who will embrace our Trust’s vision and support one of our aims to engender collective responsibility across our Trust. The safeguarding lead needs to have the expertise necessary to advise schools and the central team on best practices in safeguarding, making contributions to policy development as appropriate. They will ensure that schools and the central team are compliant with their single central records (SCRs) and deliver training and reports to audiences across our Trust, including to governors and trustees. The safeguarding lead will develop relationships with key stakeholders, relevant external agencies and other multi-academy trusts to develop best practice across our Trust. The successful candidate will be based at our Trust central base, with travel between our schools as required.

Vanguard Learning Trust is a cross-phase Trust in the London Borough of Hillingdon. Vyners Learning Trust was established in February 2015 when Ryefield Primary School and Vyners School formed the multi-academy trust. In September 2018, Ruislip High School joined our Trust which was renamed Vanguard Learning Trust. Our Trust currently has five schools: Field End Junior School, Hermitage School, Ruislip High School, Ryefield Primary School and Vyners School. Oak Farm Primary School has been an associate member of the Trust since the summer term of 2023. The Trust employs over 500 staff and has a population of circa 4000 students.
