Safeguarding Manager (Must be teacher qualified)
To support the Assistant Principal – Student Services in leading all aspects of safeguarding and child protection including the writing of safeguarding and child protection policies and reports, planning and running staff training and sessions for students. To also lead in the prevention, early identification and effective intervention for individuals identified as at risk, working in partnership with the college’s Senior Tutor Managers, as well as all members of teaching and support staff. In addition the post holder will lead on the colleges Prevent agenda. This is a new position within the College, as such the post holder will be the first incumbent. In order to establish and embed the role, line management responsibility will be confined initially to line management of the college counsellors. However, we expect line management responsibilities to increase as the role is established and this has been built into the grading of the role as advertised.
The post holder will act as a Senior Tutor to a range of level 2 and level 3 tutor groups and undertake teaching duties as required.
Sixth Form Colleges’ Pay Grade £24,098 to £39,329 per annum, plus responsibility allowance of £1,069 to £3,764 per annum, depending on experience
