We are looking for a candidate who is a committed team player and is able to support the Senior Leadership Team by being hands on, flexible, organised and proactive.

 

Who are we?

Claycots School is a large, multi-site school which is judged Good by Ofsted. Currently we have 1700 pupils over two campuses in Slough making us a unique school to work in.

 

The successful candidate will have a key organisational role in safeguarding and child protection across the school and will report to the Deputy Head Teacher in charge of Behaviour and Inclusion. He or she will be able to promote the safety and welfare of all children ensuring that processes, reporting procedures and awareness training are fully embedded by all staff and children. The successful candidate must be able to expertly advise colleagues in best practice in relation to safeguarding and child protection.

Level 6 SCP 24 – 29 (£34,063 - £38,375 FTE)

37 hours per week (8.00 am – 4.00 pm or 8.30 am – 4.30 pm) Term-time plus 2 weeks.

This is a Fixed Term Contract to cover a maternity leave (from as soon as possible to August 31st 2025)

* Home working during the school holidays will be considered for outstanding applicants but there is a requirement to attend meetings as necessary during school holiday periods.

 

Applicants will be required to demonstrate their commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people in line with Claycots’ policies and procedures. A satisfactory Enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this role. The school will request references before interview.

Claycots School is an 8 form entry primary school with two campuses in the diverse and rapidly-expanding town of Slough, Berkshire. Our Town Hall site, situated on the Bath Road serves the community of Central Slough, Chalvey and Upton. Our Britwell site, situated on the North of Slough serves the communities of Britwell, Lynch Hill and Manor Park.
