Safeguarding at Notre Dame
The College is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, well-qualified and enthusiastic individual to the full-time post of Safeguarding Officer. You will be able to demonstrate how your qualities and skills show your commitment to make a difference to the lives of our students.
Our aim is to offer a ‘World Class Catholic Education’ by providing the best care, support and outcome for each individual student. Our outstanding support is recognised across Leeds, for being individualised and responsive.
The safeguarding Team is highly experienced, friendly and has a wealth of professional knowledge. As the college student numbers grow we are seeking to extend the team. We are looking for a highly self-motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who will play a key role in the ongoing health and welfare of students and staff.
You will have experience of working with children and/or families within a safeguarding and child protection environment. A committed team worker, you will carry a caseload and work on your own initiative. Time management skills are essential given the variety of this challenging yet rewarding role. Previous experience of working with children and families and with other agencies and recent experience of social services work in child protection is essential.
