We have a vacancy for a safeguarding officer to work within our Inclusion team, led by our Assistant Head teacher who is our Inclusion Manager and Designated Safeguarding Lead.  You will be the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.   We are looking for someone who is kind and compassionate but have a relentless determination to ensure that children are kept safe. You will have experience of working with children and the safeguarding requirements of schools. You must have experience of working with vulnerable families and an excellent understanding of how outside agencies can assist in the safeguarding of children.  The Inclusion Manager coordinates all safeguarding concerns from staff within the school. You will be responsible for the day to day work with families, children and outside agencies, sometimes needing to have difficult conversations with parents/carers who do not understand why there is a concern or in extreme cases, communicate with parents / carers who are trying to cover up ill treatment of their child. You will adopt a child centred approach to safeguarding and implement early help support.  Grange is a four form entry school with 880 children. It is a two minute walk from South Ealing Tube station. Staff work closely together and there is a very collegiate working atmosphere.   Visits to the school are warmly welcomed.
