As part of the College’s objective to provide effective pathways to employment for all, we are seeking to appoint a Sales Executive to drive our apprenticeship programme activity. The role will primarily be focused on the development of our apprenticeship delivery across the full remit of our Land Based curriculum activity including amongst others; Horticulture, Agriculture, Animal & Veterinary Care and Equine. The role will have accountability for setting income targets in conjunction with the curriculum lead, delivery of agreed revenue stream and the management of forecast demand and customer engagement through the use of a CRM system. It will work in collaboration with the existing Sales, Marketing and curriculum delivery teams to create effective campaigns to drive profitable business revenue.

In addition, as part of the College Sales team, the role may also be required to support additional curriculum areas in the delivery of income targets from government funded programmes, commercial sources and apprenticeship activities.

The successful candidate will be able to evidence a sound background in B2B sales with an established track record of selling services through a consultative selling approach. Experience in external business engagement, relationship and account management and an overriding focus on customer service and experience will be essential. Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills along with an ability to engage and communicate with a diverse range of people, internally and externally, verbally and in writing will be vital to the success of this role.

A formal HND qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent and relevant industry experience will be essential. In keeping with the College’s focus on core skills, Level 2 in English and Maths will also be essential. Knowledge of the Land Based sector and an understanding of key regional businesses and their requirements will be essential to be successful in this role. The role will be based at and support apprenticeship delivery across the Brinsbury Campus and will require travel to engage with external clients, the local business community and attend networking events. Due to the nature of external business engagement activity it may require evening and weekend work on occasion.
