Salary: £35,000 to 43,000 gross per annum – dependent upon experience.

Contract: Permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks.


United Learning Trust is seeking to appoint a Cluster Facilities, Health and Safety Manager to join our established team in the Salford cluster of academies. This is an exciting opportunity to work over four secondary schools; The Albion Academy, Irlam & Cadishead Academy, The Lowry Academy and Salford City Academy.

The successful candidate will have an overarching responsibility to coordinate with the Executive Business Manager and onsite facilities teams at each school, to ensure good estates management in-line with United Learning Trust policies and guidance. The post-holder will ensure Health and Safety compliance and the delivery of successful output is agreed with each school and the cluster’s Executive Business Manager.

This role requires a highly focussed individual that is organised and passionate about making a difference in our schools and for the local community. They will oversee the maintenance of hard and soft services, ensuring our schools adhere to all applicable regulations.

The postholder will liaise with contractors and United Learning Trust Central Office Estates to ensure maintenance and project work is carried out in accordance with contractual arrangements and policies and procedures, making sure that all administrative work is kept up to date.

We are looking for a Facilities Manager who is:


· Reliable, highly motivated and self-driven.

· Experienced with an excellent knowledge and understanding of good facilities and Health and Safety management.

· Keen on attention to detail, has high standards and takes pride in their work.

· Keen to be part of a collaborative team of staff in our cluster of schools.

· A team player with strong communication skills.

· Flexible to support various events happening during opening and out of hours.

· Someone with good maintenance and practical skills.
