Our Vision Statement: "We nurture independent learners who are prepared for adult life."
Our Vision:
• To work with local authorities, parents, carers and other agencies to provide a nurturing and collaborative environment that develops aspiration, engagement and independence.
• To ensure everyone is respected, valued and supported to achieve the very best that they can.
At Minerva May School, we nurture independent learners who are prepared for adult life. We are a new, purpose-built specialist provision for young people aged 11–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and related challenges. Our vision is to work collaboratively with families, local authorities, and professionals to create an environment where every young person feels safe, respected and empowered to succeed.
We are now seeking a motivated and efficient School Administrator to join our dedicated team. This is a key role at the heart of the school’s daily operations, ensuring that administrative systems run smoothly and professionally to support the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities
As School Administrator, you will be a central figure in the smooth running of the school. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, teaching staff, and parents/carers, your duties will include:
• Providing a welcoming and professional front-of-house service to visitors, staff, students, and families.
• Managing administrative systems including attendance records, data entry, filing and correspondence.
• Supporting the leadership team with diary management, school calendar coordination, and scheduling of meetings.
• Assisting with admissions and pupil records, ensuring data is accurate and compliant with relevant regulations.
• Coordinating communications with families, including letters, newsletters and text message alerts.
• Supporting safeguarding, HR and finance processes under the direction of the Headteacher and business support team.
• Maintaining confidentiality and discretion in all matters relating to students, families and school operations.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking an organised, approachable and proactive individual who:
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and professional manner.
• Is highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
• Is confident in using a range of IT systems including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Understands the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality in a school setting.
• Brings a positive, solution-focused mindset and a willingness to support the wider school community.
• Has experience of working in an administrative role—experience in a school or education setting is desirable but not essential.
• Shares our commitment to trauma-informed and inclusive practice, and to the core values of Collaboration, Aspiration, Resilience and Empowerment.
What We Offer
At Minerva May School, we are proud to provide a working environment that is purposeful, nurturing, and ambitious—for both our students and our staff. As part of our team, you can expect:
• A brand-new, state-of-the-art specialist school designed to support students with SEMH, ASC, ADHD and associated needs.
• A supportive and forward-thinking staff team, where collaboration and professional growth are genuinely valued.
• A strong culture of wellbeing, with a commitment to trauma-informed and restorative approaches embedded in daily practice.
• High-quality training and professional development, including opportunities to deepen your expertise as a school administrator
• The chance to make a real impact, helping to nurture independent learners who are prepared for adult life.
• An inclusive, aspirational ethos shaped by our core values: Collaboration, Aspiration, Resilience and Empowerment.
