Chelsea Hall School is an outstanding Independent Special School for students aged 4-11 with mild to moderate, complex learning needs. We are part of the Cavendish Group, a unique group of educational independent day and boarding schools. We work closely with the other schools in our group and believe in 'thinking differently’ and being as creative as possible in our teaching.

We are seeking to recruit a highly organised School Administrator with a good eye for detail.

● Working hours: 8.00 - 16.30, Monday to Friday, five days a week, all year round

● Salary: £ 26,000-32,000 depending on experience

● Start date: April 2023 or as soon as possible after


Responsibilities

● General administration

○ answering the phone, listening to messages, answering the door

○ supporting the headteacher and leadership team as and when required

● Recruitment

○ posting recruitment adverts, shortlisting candidates, booking in trial days and interviews, minuting interviews, and following up with candidates

○ producing offer letters and contract

○ ensuring compliance with safer recruitment and all recruitment regulations

○ maintaining the Staff Central Register up-to-date

○ maintaining the school’s MIS (SchoolBase)

● EHCP administration

○ preparing Annual Review paperwork and liaising with all parties to ensure it is ready

○ chairing Annual Review meetings

○ ensuring legal timeframes are adhered to

● Compliance

○ ensuring policies and processes are up-to-date, understood by staff, and adhered to

○ acting as Data Protection Lead, liaising with the Data Protection Officer as and when required

○ managing the school’s safeguarding systems (MyConcern and Confide)


Chelsea Hall School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staf and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, an online check and at least two satisfactory references.

Please note that questions on safeguarding will also be asked during the interview so as to check on your awareness of safeguarding procedure and anticipate potential training needs. All staf members receive child protection and PREVENT training upon employment, unless they have recently undergone such training.
