Working in Bearsden Academy you will provide support and clerical assistance to subject departments across the school. Duties will include food preparation and general assistance within our Home Economics Department. You will also undertake daily clerical support within school departments and general school, as required to support teachers. You will contribute to the general supervision of pupils including accompanying school trips and dealing with welfare aspects including administration of first aid when required. In line with school requirements assist with scribing/reading support to pupils during examination times. You should be able to work as part of a team and enjoy a variety of tasks within your remit and have good IT skills.

Bearsden Academy is a co-educational comprehensive school based in East Dunbartonshire for students aged 11-18. It is a non-denominational school.
Bearsden Academy was founded in 1911. Its location is on the former St Andrew’s College campus and it is within easy reach of the school’s four associated primaries: Baljaffray, Bearsden, Castlehill and Mosshead. The school has a current roll of around 1200 pupils. It became an academy in 2012 and its intake has been capped at 210 for several years. The school employs just over 100 members of staff. It is also home to a successful Language and Communication Resource funded by East Dunbartonshire Council.
