For Part-time and Term-time hours salary will be prorated
Working in Douglas Academy you will assist the school with various non-teaching duties including administration, preparation of teaching materials and supervision of pupils during intervals and lunch time.
Under the direction of the School Support Manager you will primarily support the Home Economics Department which includes general assistance and food preparation. You will also support other departmental Principal Teachers and whole school activities, by providing clerical support service to assist in curriculum delivery.
In order to support the welfare of pupils you will administer first aid when required. In line with school requirements you will also assist with reading/scribing duties as required during examination times.
You should be literate, numerate, able to work as part of a team and possess good interpersonal and IT skills.

Douglas Academy is a non-denominational mixed state comprehensive secondary school for pupils aged 11-18, serving the Milngavie, Craigton and Baldernock areas of Greater Glasgow. It is operated by East Dunbartonshire Council. The school was founded in 1967, has about 1,000 pupils, and also incorporates the Douglas Academy Music School - a center of excellence for the study of music. In 2009, the school began operating from a new £100 million building on the site of the original school.
