Thank you for your interest in the post of Business Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to make a major contribution to the school's continued success. We are looking for a dynamic Business Manager/Bursar to strategically and operationally manage all non-academic activities within the school.

You will promote the highest standards of business across the school and lead on all aspects of administration, information technology, admissions, facilities management, health & safety, capital projects, contract management, PR/sponsorship, and catering. You will be a member of the Executive Leadership Team and report directly to the school Director.

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to handle a variety of tasks quickly and efficiently whilst maintaining a calm and professional manner.

We welcome applications from people who have School Business Manager experience in educational settings, business acumen, and experience in leading a larger team. An MBA would be advantageous.

In total, the school has over 1200 students from over sixty countries. Teaching staff are mainly recruited from the United Kingdom, Australasia, North America and locally. The school resides on a pleasant, safe, secure campus with excellent facilities and resources.

Please note that the school’s status locally as an International 'Community School' enables work visas to be processed for ‘western nationals’ including United Kingdom, New Zealand, South African and Australian citizens. Unfortunately, BISJ cannot accept teachers with a trailing spouse or teachers over 56 years of age.

The British International School of Jeddah was established in 1977 and provides high quality international education to the expatriate and local community in Jeddah.

The curriculum is designed to provide students with transferable skills and a love of learning.  There is strong support in the Primary School for the use of enquiry based learning through the development of integrated thematic units. These draw the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).

In Years 10 and 11 the curriculum leads to the externally assessed examinations of the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), set by Cambridge International Examinations. Post 16 education is based on International Baccalaureate courses, with the majority of students taking the full Diploma course.
