We are looking for a talented and suitably qualified professional to join our team in supporting the school to achieve its strategic plan. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and hardworking, with proven skills and experience in financial management and a strong commitment to teamwork. You will have a proven ability to manage a diverse range of school support services, including financial management, administration, catering, site and facilities, lettings and health and safety.

The successful candidate will:

  • hold a degree or School Business Manager qualification
  • have sound financial knowledge and understanding
  • have successful management experience
  • have exceptional organisational skills

Wellfield was judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted in March 2014.

As part of BSF the school has undergone an £8.5 million refurbishment so facilities are state of the art. Situated only 8 miles to the east of Durham City the school is well located for access to the A19 and A1(M). It is also within comfortable driving distance of affordable housing and areas of outstanding natural beauty.

Wellfield School is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school without sixth form situated in Wingate, County Durham. It is a community state school that provides 1,200 places for students between the ages of 11 and 16 when fully subscribed.  Wellfield School is part of New College Durham Academies Trust.
