This opportunity has arisen again with a revised person spec.
We are seeking to employ an experienced dynamic and innovative Business Manager to join our vibrant learning community. To start as soon as possible. This position arises at a very exciting time as we move forward in our preparation towards a Multi Academic Trust structure.
The successful candidate will join a dynamic leadership team consisting of Head Teacher, Deputy Head Teacher, 2 Assistant Head Teachers and one year Associate Leader.
They will manage teams that provide support for Finance, HR, Administration, Facilities Management, Catering and ICT. Financial expertise and the ability to lead with conviction is essential.
Applicants must be educated to degree level or equivalent; other related professional qualifications are desirable. The successful candidate must be a confident leader who can function well as part of a team, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, have a ‘can-do’ attitude, be highly organised and have the ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines.

About Selwood Academy
Selwood Academy is a mixed, non-selective, Church of England and Methodist middle deemed secondary school situated in the town of Frome, eastern Somerset. It is an academy converter supported by a single-academy trust called Selwood Academy and under the Diocese of Bath and Wells. A larger than average size for a secondary school, the school will provide 704 places for students between the ages of 9-13 when fully subscribed.
Selwood converted to academy status in December 2011.
