We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and solution focussed Business Manager to join the Our Lady’s team. You will be an integral part of the school’s leadership team who work diligently to ensure the continued success of the school and the best experience for students.  Our leadership team are front facing with a high amount of student interaction, so if you are highly committed and thrive on making a difference for young people this could be the role for you.   

As lead on HR and Finance your contribution to the leadership team and school improvement is significant.  Whilst you will lead a large outstanding operations team, we are looking for a candidate who can manage these services effectively but is also willing to support where necessary. You will need to be organised and able to work well under pressure.  You must be highly skilled in motivating, challenging and inspiring staff and students to be the very best that they can be.  Due to increasing pupil numbers, the school has recently began building work on a £3million building project and as Business Manager you will play an integral part of this exciting phase of the school’s journey. 

Our Lady’s RC High School has 900 students and is a mixed, 11-16 comprehensive within the family of the Diocese of Salford. The school is situated on the Higher Blackley Education Campus which opened in 2009, and is co-located with North Ridge High School, a 110 place specialist support day school for 12-19 year old students with learning difficulties. The relatively new building has good facilities and bright, flexible learning spaces allowing creativity to flourish. The real strengths of the school however, are the staff, students and governors. This is a warm, caring and happy Catholic school where staff are committed to improving students’ life chances and to ensuring the school is the very best it can be.

Our Lady’s Roman Catholic High School is a mainstream, co-educational secondary school for children aged 11-16. It is situated in Higher Blackley, Manchester, and it has 850 students on its roll.

Pupils’ spelling, punctuation and grammar in writing, and their use of standard English when speaking, have improved significantly since the last inspection. School leaders, including governors, have an accurate understanding of the school’s strengths and areas for development. They are determined to continue improving opportunities for pupils. Senior leaders have taken effective measures to improve levels of literacy. Teachers provide pupils with opportunities to develop their speaking skills and practise their use of standard English.”
