School Business Manager [Maternity Cover] 37 hours per week, full time, payscale and range Band 8, £32,910 to £36,922 responsible to the Chief Operating Officer is required from 14th February 2022.

The contract is to a fixed term for approximately 12 months or ending upon the return of the substantive postholder.

We are looking to appoint a School Business Manager starting 14th February 2022 to cover the maternity leave of the substantive postholder.  This is an exciting opportunity at Chantry and Newminster Middle Schools that would appeal to a highly skilled School Business professional.

 Chantry and Newminster are large middle schools with over 500 students in each school from Years 5 to 8, situated in the town of Morpeth in Northumberland. Morpeth is a 20 minute commute from Newcastle with good transport links including bus and rail networks. We pride ourselves on being fully inclusive and truly comprehensive schools with high standards.  Our purpose is to provide experiences to inspire, motivate and meet the needs of all learners.  We encourage a lifelong love of learning to enable all to develop the attitudes, skills and knowledge to become accomplished students. 

The schools are part of the Three Rivers Learning Trust.  Whilst the schools within the Trust are separate with their own unique identity, there is one engaged and supportive Board of Trustees, to whom each school reports.

Chantry Middle School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational middle school situated in Morpeth, Northumberland serving students from the ages of 9-13. The school is currently oversubscribed and has approximately 550 pupils. It is part of a three tier schooling system within the Morpeth partnership of schools.

It is part of the The Three Rivers Learning Trust which provides education in the Morpeth and Rothbury area and consists of Abbeyfelds First School, Harbottle C of E First School, Stobhillgate First School, Thropton Village First School, Chantry Middle School, Newminster Middle School, Dr Thomlinson C of E Middle School and The King Edward VI High School.

All eight schools have a rich and successful history and continue to be a central part of our local and regional community.  As a converter, multi academy trust [December 2011] we aim to build upon our successes whilst valuing our heritage, to ensure that our students are well prepared to succeed in the twenty first century.
