Values and vision

Five Elms Primary School has these core values: can do, resilience, expectation, aspiration and motivation (CREAM). This helps children learn their rights and responsibilities. The school wants every child to reach their full potential and feel happy in a safe environment. The teachers aim to help pupils grow and feel confident around their peers, in preparation for their lives once they leave the school.

Ofsted report

“Pupils typically show a positive attitude towards learning. Where learning is best, pupils respond with interest to tasks that are well matched to their abilities and they are clear both about their learning targets for the lesson and their work in general. Throughout the school, all groups of pupils, including those eligible for free school meals, make good progress and achieve well. Disabled pupils and those with special educational needs are taught well through a mix of class, group and individual activities. This is especially the case for those pupils with a hearing impairment.”
