Blossom House is an Ofsted-rated “Outstanding” specialist school for children aged 3 – 19 years of age with speech, language and communication difficulties.

 

We have a great opportunity for a School Caretaker to join our Operations Team. Proactive, reliable and friendly, you will be responsible for maintaining a good, safe internal and external environment across multiple sites for our pupils and staff.

The ideal candidate will:

·        Have a thorough knowledge and experience of site maintenance and facilities management issues

·        Be pro-active, confident and friendly.

·        Have the ability to gather information, problem solve and use own initiative.

·        Be used to effectively organising their own time whilst being flexible enough to respond to urgent requests.

·        Have good inter-personal skills, used effectively when supervising the Maintenance Team, inter-acting with pupils, staff and visitors.

·        Be willing to personally complete caretaker duties which include portering, cleaning and maintenance such as; painting, moving equipment and goods, setting up rooms, general DIY, garden and site maintenance and preventative maintenance duties.

·        Have a clean and current driving licence.

 

 

The role is full-time Monday to Friday (Occasional Saturdays) 9 hours per day with variable start and finish times with expectation of out of hours working on an as needed basis.

 

The role will be based primarily at Motspur Park, however, the individual may be required to work across our other sites in Euston and Wimbledon.


Competitive salary dependent on experience

25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
