Rydal Penrhos School is seeking an outstanding Chaplain to lead and nurture the spiritual life of our vibrant school community.

Rooted in a proud Methodist tradition, Rydal Penrhos educates children from 6 months to 18 years and provides an education where academic excellence is enriched by strong Christian values, outstanding pastoral care and a commitment to helping every individual flourish.

We are seeking an inspiring Christian who can confidently lead worship, provide compassionate pastoral care and encourage children and young people to explore questions of faith, character and purpose.

Applications are welcomed from both ordained ministers and committed lay Christians who possess a vibrant Christian faith and a genuine calling to work with children and young people.

The successful candidate will:

• Lead inspiring collective worship across all age groups.

• Be a visible and trusted pastoral presence for pupils, staff and families.

• Help shape and strengthen the Christian ethos of the School.

• Build meaningful relationships across our community.

• Work alongside school leaders in developing a culture of kindness, service and belonging.

This is a part-time position equivalent to 2.5 days per week, with hours worked flexibly across the week to reflect the varied nature of school life. Whilst there is flexibility in how the hours are arranged, the successful candidate will be expected to be available for worship, pastoral commitments, school services, significant events and occasional evening or weekend activities throughout the academic year.

This is more than a part-time post—it is a ministry of presence. We are looking for someone who will become a recognised and valued member of our community, supporting pupils, colleagues and families through times of celebration, challenge and reflection.
