The Local Governing Board of St Augustine’s Catholic Academy are seeking to appoint an inspirational School Chaplain. The successful candidate will be a committed Catholic with a good understanding of Catholic theology. They will be passionate in encouraging the Catholic faith in young people, proactive in leading and developing the spiritual, liturgical and prayer life of the school and committed to achieving successful outcomes in all aspects of the school’s chaplaincy provision.
We are looking for some who:
· Is committed to supporting and developing the spiritual and pastoral well-being of young people
· Is highly motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively with a range of colleagues and other stakeholders
· Is innovative in ways to celebrate the Catholic ethos of the school and find new ways for the Gospel to encourage and challenge students and staff
· Is passionate about leading and encouraging members of the school and wider community to have a positive attitude and inclusive approach to change and development

In addition to the role at St Augustine’s, the postholder would spend one day per week supporting the development of Catholic Life and Mission and Collective Worship across the Trust.
- Playing a key role in the planning and coordination of Trust events;
- Designing and implementing a programme of formation for staff across the Trust;
- Providing high quality professional development opportunities;
- Carrying out trust-wide monitoring in line with CSI framework;
- Modelling / co-facilitation of high quality collective worship;
- Coaching and support
