Location: Wilmslow, Cheshire East  

Salary: £10.04 - £10.57 per hour depending on experience

Hours: 10 hours per week, term time only. Working 3.30pm to 5.30pm Monday to Friday

We’re really pleased to be opening our Aurora Summerfields School in February 2023 in Wilmslow with a proposed capacity of 50 students.

This will be a brand new independent specialist school for young people aged 5 to 19, who face difficulties as a result of complex communication needs typically associated with Autism spectrum conditions. The school will mirror our ‘Outstanding’ rated Aurora Hanley School which you can read about here

Amongst a number of other new roles, we’re currently looking for a Cleaner to start in January 2023

The Role:

To provide a cleaning service for the school across all types of rooms, including offices, classrooms, laboratories, halls, corridors, and toilets.

 Key Duties:

 ·      Duties to include the following:

·      Vacuum cleaning floors.

·      Spot cleaning of spillages.

·      Wiping furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors and polishing door glass.

·      Emptying and cleaning bins (daily).

·      Cleaning toilets including sanitary fittings and surrounds.

·      Mopping and spray cleaning hard floor surfaces.

·      Wiping, dusting, cobweb removal, polishing.

·      Replenishing janitorial supplies in toilets, etc (daily).

·      Undertake deep clean as and when required.

·      Checking and closing windows, switching off lights after work and ensure the building is secure on exit.

·      Such other duties as may be allocated from time to time.

Skills and Qualifications:

Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:

·      Some knowledge of Health and Safety Regulation in regards to cleaning equipment and cleaning materials.

·      Ability to work effectively and supportively as a member of the school team.

·      Ability to work with minimum supervision.

·      Ability to prioritise work and be flexible.

·      Experience of undertaking a range of cleaning duties.
