An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced counsellor to join our dedicated pastoral team on a part time basis, for 21 hours per week term time only.
As an accredited practitioner, with experience of working with a diverse range of student / teenage issues, the successful candidate will provide an independent and confidential counselling service to students through individual sessions, responding to their personal, social, emotional or educational concerns.
You will be alert to trends and patterns of behaviour among students and beyond and will be willing to identify ways in which the School community could respond to address such issues or problems.
The School Counsellor will have responsibility to maintain confidential records and liaise with the Assistant Headteacher (Student Standards), School Nurses, Pastoral staff and other professionals as required. A good understanding of the demands of work within an educational setting is essential.
Salary: Actual Salary £14,133 - £15,231 pa (Grade 10 £29,323 - £31,601pa pro rata)
