Job overview

We are looking for an experienced counsellor to join our therapeutic team. You will provide excellent counselling support, engaging each student  by using a variety of counselling and therapeutic techniques tailored to their unique and individual needs.

At the Southover Partnership, we have students both within our three school sites in Kingsbury, Southgate and Finchley (40 to 45 students in total) and those educated through our home tuition service, who derive enormous benefits from counselling. This is an important role which we value highly, and we are keen to find a motivated, empathic and skilled professional, who will contribute to our multi-disciplinary approach.  Our young people have a range of needs including autism, SEMH and ADHD, and will require an adapted approach according to their needs.

The successful candidate will play a key role alongside the wider staff team, in providing holistic support for our  students (as well as their families and carers). In addition to providing counselling support, you will participate and help supervise and engage pupils during social times, modelling positive relationships and helping to maintain our calm and nurturing environment.

We are at an exciting juncture, with plans to grow our school and outreach service, and the candidate in this role will have a significant impact on this growth.
