Southwark Inclusive Learning Service (SILS) is a pupil referral unit / alternative education provision for students excluded from mainstream schools because of social emotional or mental health difficulties.  

We are a ‘Good School’ (Ofsted, 2012 & 2015), and all the staff that work across our two school sites are committed to improving outcomes and life chances of our learners.      

The role:  We are looking for an experienced counsellor or psychotherapist to join our dedicated staff team.        You will be a BACP (or equivalent) accredited practitioner with experience of working with a diverse range of student / teenage issues.  You will have the ability to work flexibly, using cognitive behaviour therapy, psychoanalytical and psychodynamic therapy, or other appropriate therapies for time-limited work with our learners, and their families.    A good understanding of the demands of work within an educational setting is desirable.   Please note that the successful applicant will be required to work across our two South London sites at Davey Street and Porlock Street by London Bridge.
