Job overview
Sandroyd is seeking to appoint a part time School Counsellor for September 2019, or possibly to start before this date if available. The counsellor will work closely with the Headmaster and Deputy Head (pastoral). This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate to support the promotion of emotional resilience and wellbeing within the school. The role will add a therapeutic strand to the educational and pastoral expertise that we already have.

About Sandroyd School
Sandroyd School is a co-educational preparatory school for both day and boarding pupils aged 2-13. It is located in 60 acres of fields, woods, and parkland near the village of Tollard Royal in Wiltshire. The pupil roll is around 230.
Sandroyd Pre-Prep was purpose-built in 2004 in the original walled garden and is home to boys and girls aged 2-7.
Sandroyd School takes its name from Sandroyd House, the home of the Reverend L H Wellesley Wesle, in Cobham, Surrey. In 1888, he created a small coaching establishment for the sons of his friends who were due to go to Eton. Over the years, the school grew rapidly, changing its premises to its current location Rushmore House. The school is a charitable trust and is administered by its board of governors.
