Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated school counselor to join our educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing emotional support to students, as well as working with parents and teachers to promote a positive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students
- Develop and support existing programs to promote personal growth, and social-emotional well-being
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to identify and address student needs
- Help in identifying the students at risk and do the follow up
- Communicate with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and concerns
- Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date student records
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
- Participate in professional development and stay current with trends and best practices in the field
- Support in the organisation of pastoral events, such as Word Mental Health day or Safer internet day.
- Teach PSHE and organise specific workshops for Primary and Secondary students
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in counseling or related field
- State licensure or certification as a school counselor
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Strong understanding of child development and ability to work with students of all ages
- Experience working with different age groups
- Confidence with adult interaction (parents meetings, external professional meetings)

Teaching information
Teachers at ISN are expected to hold an undergraduates degree in their chosen teaching subject, as well as a proper accredited teaching certification such as a postgraduate diploma, in addition to at least two years’ teaching experience.
