Job overview

St Andrew’s is looking to appoint a school data administrator to join the school’s administration team.

The post holder is expected to work independently and be responsible for the input and management of school data and production of reports as necessary.  Ensuring that the school database is kept up to date for pupils, staff and alumni, and that all aspects of data administration, management and control are current and compliant. The post holder will support the School Senior Management to ensure that all School policies are current and compliant and will maintain a central list of policies, ensuring that policy owners review and update on a timely basis and that the correct versions are published as necessary.

In addition, the post holder is expected to provide support for all aspects of data and communication quality control, including compliance with GDPR and supporting the management of links and communication with Alumni. The post holder will also assist the Finance Team with data entry in key areas from time to time.

St Andrew’s is a flourishing, forward thinking co-educational IAPS prep school with approximately 300 pupils who are prepared for a range of senior schools, both locally and nationally. A number of children win scholarships to their chosen senior schools, which include Abingdon School, Bradfield College, St Edward’s Oxford, Pangbourne College, Downe House, Marlborough College, The Oratory School and Radley College.

The successful applicant will enjoy working with data and be organised, highly accurate and focused on detail. Experience of WCBS (PASS/3-sys) is desirable, and confidence using and maintaining a database, including input and tailored data extraction and analysis, is essential.

A sense of humour, along with a cheerful personality is likely to be an advantage.

St. Andrew’s was founded in 1934 and became a charitable trust administered by a board of governors in 1961. Since 1968 the school has been fully co-educational. The estate extends to 54 acres in magnificent Berkshire countryside between the villages of Pangbourne and Bradfield.

In recent years, the number of pupils has been steady at approximately 290, which is the currently intended maximum. Whilst it is predominantly a day school, ‘flexi-boarding’ operates and many children use this during their time at the school. The aim of the school is to provide the best possible broad-based education for children aged 3 to13. Pupils leave with an impressive number of scholarships. This year, seventeen of our twenty-three sixth form (Year 8) leavers have won awards, including academic, music, art and sports.
