The role
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in database management within a forward-thinking educational environment? Northampton High School is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and dynamic Data Manager to join our team on a permanent basis.
Working closely with the Deputy Head and the Business Support Manager, you will help ensure the integrity, accuracy and quality of data is maintained, following the appropriate processes to support the smooth running of school functions.
You will take responsibility for the management and development of the school Management Information System (MIS) and other relevant data systems across the school, making effective use of these systems to ensure stakeholders can access data and insights to inform decision-making. Your work will include creating reports, managing assessment marksheets, producing report templates and supporting the development and maintenance of the curriculum model and timetables within the MIS system.
About you
We are looking for someone with a degree-level qualification and strong experience in database management, as well as in handling a wide range of MIS requests in a service-focused environment. You will also have experience gathering and communicating data in a variety of formats to relevant stakeholders and can demonstrate a clear understanding of data protection and GDPR requirements in an educational setting. Knowledge of SIMs is highly desirable, but not essential.

Northampton High School is an independent, selective girls’ day school for pupil aged two to 18. It is part of the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST), a registered charity and proprietor of 25 independent schools, and has approximately 500 pupils. It is located in Hardingstone, Northampton.
